Richard Waller, ICD.D
Richard Waller is the President and CEO of WallerCo Advisory Services Ltd., a management consulting firm specializing in supporting startups, business turnarounds and scaling. He has held several prominent leadership and governance roles throughout his career, including 30+ years in the energy industry. Currently, he serves as a Director of Trimac Transportation and associated companies, as well as the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Energy Executive Association. Between 2021 and 2024, he was a Global Board Director of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a network dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial growth around the world.
Previously, Richard was the President of Foothills Industrial Products, a supplier of products to natural gas utilities, pipelines and midstream companies. He owned and led Foothills for 18 years before successfully exiting ownership in March 2020 through the company’s sale, coinciding with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. His past governance experience includes serving on committees for the Canadian Gas Association, being a Board Member of the Calgary Zoological Society, and acting as Chair of the Calgary Zoo Foundation.
Richard is recognized for his expertise in corporate governance and leadership. He holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors (Canada) and completed IMD (Switzerland) High Performing Boards certification in 2020.

Mark O’Byrne is a seasoned energy executive with over four decades of global & domestic experience in oil and gas operations, corporate development, and technology integration. He has held numerous staff and management roles during his forty-year career with SLB in many countries around the world where he gained extensive international experience across upstream service lines and engineering innovation.
Most recently Mark spearheaded an E&P joint venture between SLB and Torxen Energy leading to his role as President, Palliser Production Management Ltd. where he played a key role in driving operational efficiency and asset growth. Known for his collaborative leadership and strategic foresight, Mark has led multidisciplinary teams through complex drilling programs, production optimization initiatives, and corporate transitions in both private and public markets. His work reflects a deep understanding of the technical and commercial dynamics shaping the energy sector.

He has led over $8 billion in transactions and held senior roles in corporate development, M&A, and Indigenous partnerships for organizations ranging from early-stage ventures to multibillion-dollar enterprises.
Scott is known for combining analytical rigor with values-based leadership to drive strategic growth, portfolio optimization, and stakeholder alignment. He is also the founder of Energy Friends, an animated educational initiative aimed at helping youth understand complex energy and climate topics. Scott brings a unique blend of technical acumen, creative thinking, and purpose-driven execution to every opportunity he pursues.
